Review

I received Ember as part of the blog tour hosted by Supa Gurl Tours in return for a honest review.  Ember isn't your typical high school girl, at a early age she has felt a fondness to death. Since the day her grandmother died she's been able to touch someone and know how they will die. It's been her curse that she's only shared with her best friend Raven; no one else knows the truth. She likes to hang out in the cemetery to write dark poetry she drops her journal which blows away. While retrieving it spies two guys digging up a grave, but before she can learn why the cops find her and she's has to run away.

Raven drags Ember to a party up in the mountains, even though Ember isn't a fan of places with people she goes because someone needs to keep a eye on Raven. They have been best friends since they were little their parents were close and each family went through their own hardships. Raven likes to party and can sometimes get a little out of control so Ember tags along to keep a eye on her. While at the party Raven ends up dancing with a guy who she later takes off with leaving Ember behind. Knowing that Raven may need her she takes off after her only to learn that someone may have messed with her dad's old car, but that doesn't deter her. Driving fast along the winding road, a car starts get close and when her breaks go out Ember ends up going over the end. In the car wreak she almost dies if not for Asher the stranger who saves her life. To Ember she died in the crash and he brought her back. She's instantly drawn to him.

Raven show's up at Embers house in tears after having a bad night but Ember doesn't know why. Then they find out that the guy she took off with is missing. Ember also has two new students to deal with at school Asher her hero for that saved her life and Cameron the grave robber. Ember went from being loner with just Raven as a friend with now two attractive guys wanting her attention. However death still looms, secrets still exist and strange deaths are haunting her.

I loved Ember everything about the book was awesome. This is my first Jessica Sorensen book and when the tour came up I just had to sign up and I'm super glad I did. It's such a unique story my heart went out for Ember she has a gift that has ruled her life for most of it but it's really more of a curse. I can't imagine what it would be like to see someone’s death it makes her a strong character the way she deals with it. I was really impressed by the story it's very captivating it kept my attention till I finished and completely lost track of time. I found the story well written and the characters are all well-developed I felt like I was their though the story with Ember. This is my first book with the main character who is gothish I love the writing on the walls, in the journal it just makes it easier for me to relate to her because I've always got my journal with me writing poetry here or there well used to not so much as of late. I just really loved the story and I can't wait to get my hands on the next chapter in Ember's story.
